Members of the Knox Board of Works are anticipating an update about a property on Roosevelt Road when they meet today.
According to minutes from January’s meeting, a public hearing over a property at 207-209 N. Roosevelt Road was held last month. Prior to the hearing, the property’s current owner had been given an order to repair but they didn’t respond so an order to demolish was issued.
A potential new owner, Gary Reedy, was in attendance at January’s meeting. He told board members he intends to make all the necessary repairs that were set forth by Building Administrator Kenny Pfost. Members voted to give him six months to complete the repairs, with the conditions that the property sale is successful and he provides periodic updates.
An update about Pete Milev’s property at 1&3 N. Main Street is also expected.
In addition to the property updates, members will be informed about any new information pertaining to the street, water, wastewater and police departments.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. today in Knox City Hall.
