Some recent grants and donations were highlighted during last week’s Knox School Board meeting. Elementary School Principal Michelle Tarnow announced that Guidance Counselor Tara Nantz was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the Department of Education.
“She didn’t realize she applied for it,” Tarnow joked. “She had shared the activities she does for College Go! Week, and the DOE sponsored that. It’s called 2019 Learn More Indiana School Grant. And so they gave her $1,000 to be used how she sees fit, to do programs with kids.”
Also during last week’s meeting, the Knox School Board accepted a $200 anonymous donation for delinquent student lunch accounts.
