The Pulaski County Commissioners may appoint a new maintenance director tonight. Jeff Johnston stepped down from the position last month to take another job elsewhere, as county officials continue debating the future of the courthouse.
Also during tonight’s meeting, Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff will present an additional request, related to the bridge on County Road 400 East over Mill Creek. The 60-year-old bridge is set to be replaced in the near future. Ruff has announced plans to apply for a Community Crossings grant to cover 75 percent of the construction cost.
IT Director Matt Voltz will discuss office space for his department tonight, while Auditor Laura Wheeler will discuss software. The commissioners will also get an update from Sheriff Jeff Richwine.
