Knox Officials to Hold Summer Events Planning Meeting Tonight

In the coming weeks, many people may start looking forward to the community events that better weather brings. However, without a dedicated team of volunteers, those fun opportunities would not be possible.

In order to get an idea of who wants to lend a helping hand this summer, an events planning meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center.

Mayor Dennis Estok touched on some of the events that will be discussed when city council members met last week.

He explained, “The Car Show is coming up Memorial Day weekend and then we have the Fourth of July so anybody interested in helping out again, make sure you show up.”

Even if you haven’t volunteered in the past, you’re welcome to come and see how you can get involved. If you’re unable to attend tonight’s meeting but would still like to provide assistance in some way, contact the Mayor’s Office at 574-772-4553.
