Teaching residents how to reverse opioid overdoses is the goal of a training session to be held in Knox tonight. The Indiana Recovery Alliance will train residents how to use the overdose reversal drug naloxone from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library.
The organization says it will give away naloxone for free, and attendees will have the chance to become certified to distribute the drug and train others to do so. Those who can’t stay for the full session may leave with naloxone after the first 20 minutes.
The Indiana Recovery Alliance says the training is open to people who use drugs, their families and friends, and anyone interested in saving lives.
