Students from around the area gathered at Knox High School last week for the Special Needs Prom. Principal Dr. Elizabeth Ratliff reviewed the event during Tuesday’s school board meeting.
“It was an amazing event for our regular ed kids,” she said. “It’s moving to have such a positive impact and know that you’re doing it, and it was gorgeous. So Tammie Radican, it is her baby. We knew that when we hired her, and I will tell you, it’s something that we’re really looking forward to being part of.”
Ratliff said the Special Needs Prom took up the whole bottom half of the high school, and she expressed her appreciation for teachers’ flexibility during the event.
