The Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation will be recycling about 500 old iPads, even though some people were apparently interested in buying them. The school board officially declared the iPads as surplus/junk items last week, according to outgoing Superintendent Dan Foster.
“They are truly not worth anything,” he explains. “Some of them are outdated, and the operating system, they stopped supporting that in 2015, so there’s some apps and stuff out there that you can’t even download to these things. Batteries are overheating and things like that. So really, we just need to get rid of them.”
Foster says the school board also agreed to let school officials get rid of one old wrestling mat.
