The Town of Hamlet is making sure residents are keeping their properties clean. Town Marshal Clint Norem discussed his efforts with the town council Wednesday. “We sent out 32 letters to people on the 19th, a notification, whether it be grass, debris. So far, everybody – it’s looking real good.”
Norem added that he normally prefers to discuss these matters with residents in-person. But he wanted the notices to be documented, after residents voiced concerns with the town’s ordinance enforcement at the last council meeting.
Officials in the city of Knox this week reported that they’ve issued 19 notifications for tall grass.
