The Food Bank of Northern Indiana’s Healthy Mobile Market will be in Hamlet this week.
On Thursday, July 25th, community members in need of food assistance can receive fresh, perishable items and dry goods, free of charge.
The Healthy Mobile Market will be set up from 10 a.m. until noon at the James R. Hardesty Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Station and Community Center. It is located at 15 West Indiana Avenue.
Items will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Individuals are asked to bring their own boxes or bags to carry items home.
Some USDA items that will be distributed include low-salt canned garbanzo, pinto and dark red kidney beans, low-sodium canned spinach, frozen beef round roast, frozen pulled pork and dry great northern as well as dried cranberries, canned cling peach slices, canned pork, long-grain rice and fresh orange juice from the top juicer machines.
