Knox school officials have provided some important upcoming dates for parents and students.
For instance, this week 5th grade orientation will be held on Tuesday, July 30th from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Freshman Orientation will be held on Friday, August 2nd from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Next week back-to-school night will be held on Monday, August 5th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. for the middle and high school students.
Elementary students will attend back to school night on the same date, however, the times will be spaced out according to grade level.
For kindergartners, it will run from 4 o’clock until 4:20 p.m., first graders will have theirs from 4:20 until 4:40, the second grade time frame will run from 4:40 until 5 o’clock while third grade’s will go from 5 o’clock until 5:20 and the fourth grade back to school night will be held from 5:20 until 5:40 p.m.
The first day of school for Knox students is Tuesday, August 6th. For students at the middle school level, the day starts at 7:55 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. At the elementary school, the day begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m. The day starts at 8:05 a.m. at the High School and concludes at 2:55 p.m.
It’s important to note that there are 30-minute early dismissals every Friday.
Until transportation routes are finalized, school officials ask the students who will be riding buses to be at their stop earlier than normal for the first few days.
