A woman was flown to memorial hospital in South Bend following a rollover crash in Knox Wednesday afternoon.
The Knox-Center Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Family Dollar on Heaton Street to respond to a rollover crash with entrapment shortly after 3:30 p.m. on August 21st.
According to Fire Chief Kenny Pfost there was an alert that a female occupant was still inside.
Pfost said firefighters stabilized the vehicle with rescue struts and the windshield was removed. The patient was then removed from the vehicle and Starke County EMS began patient care.
Chief Pfost reported that the woman was transported to the airport by ambulance and was then flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital for further care.
In addition to Starke County EMS and Knox-Center Township Fire Department, Knox City Police and the Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
