The Winamac Town Council passed an amended ordinance related to meter deposits for electric and water utilities when members met Monday night.
Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger informed the council what the amendment entailed.
She explained, “Wording in there was added for someone who can provide two years of good credit history with the town. They would receive the lesser of the two rates as if they did not have any credit.”
There was no further discussion and the ordinance was passed with a unanimous vote.
