A Francesville resident was killed Wednesday morning, after reportedly being hit by an SUV while riding a bicycle. Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to County Road 500 South west of U.S. 421 around 7:45 a.m.
Officers believe Agustin Roman Fabian, 37, was riding a bike east on 500 South, and was hit by a 2008 Lincoln MKX driven by a 17-year-old female that was also heading eastbound. Fabian was taken by Francesville EMS to Franciscan Health Rensselaer, where Fabian was pronounced dead by the emergency room doctor. Police say the driver of the SUV stopped at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office and Jasper County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 800-283-3341.
Francesville First Responders and Samaritan Medical Transport assisted Fabian at the scene.
