The Town of Hamlet is once again offering to split the cost of sidewalk upgrades with property owners. The town is taking applications for a 50/50 sidewalk replacement program.
Town Council President Dave Kesvormas suggested a gauging interest for a fall round of the program, during Wednesday’s meeting. “Let’s just see where we’re at, and if it’s something that does come up with something good and we can do it, we can probably put some work on the guys for the last part of the year and see where we’re at,” he said.
The way the program works is that the town will get cost estimates for the participating properties and split the cost with the owners.
