Knox City Council members took action Tuesday night to adopt the 2020 Budget.
The City is estimating a total budget of $3,065,579, with a majority of money listed in the General Fund which has $1,609,355 in it.
The budget also includes a property tax cap credit estimate of $456,745 and an estimated civil max levy of $1,672,926.
Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston noted that now the budget will be submitted to the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) for final approval.
They will determine if any adjustments need to be made and will notify City officials about whether or not the budget has been approved by the end of December.
