The West Central School Corporation is hoping to see some cost savings by switching liability insurance carriers. Superintendent Dan Zylstra says the school corporation is switching to Astra Insurance.
“We work with a consultant who bids out our insurance to different companies so we can get the best price,” Zylstra explains. “And we had a different company that came in, and it was less money for the overall premiums for the same or better coverage, so we decided to switch carriers, based on working with that consultant.”
The change was formally approved by the school board last week.
