West Central School officials are voicing concerns with the safety of a nearby intersection. A recent accident at U.S. 421 and State Road 14 generated a lot of discussion during Thursday’s school board meeting, according to Superintendent Dan Zylstra.
“One of our employees was involved in a car accident there,” Zylstra says. “We talked about how that’s a pretty unsafe intersection, and we’re working with the state and local representatives to see if we can make that intersection safer for our students and our parents.”
That intersection next to the West Central campus does not require traffic heading north or south on 421 to stop.
