Pulaski County appears to be looking for a new workers’ compensation insurance provider. Last week, Auditor Laura Wheeler presented the county commissioners with paperwork to renew the county’s coverage with the Indiana Public Employers’ Plan.
But insurance agent Gene Timm told the commissioners that IPEP had reversed its decision and no longer wants to renew. IPEP said it’s lost money on Pulaski County 10 years in a row, according to Timm.
He hopes that Bliss McKnight will be able to take over workers’ comp. If not, the county will have to explore other options. The current policy runs through December 31.
