The Eastern Pulaski School Board is expected to name its next superintendent on Monday. No comments were offered during last month’s public hearing on the proposed superintendent’s contract.
It runs from January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022. The new superintendent would earn $105,000 next year, going up to $110,000 in 2022, plus benefits.
The proposed contract anticipates that whoever the next superintendent will be will obtain an Ed.S in May of 2020. That person will be expected to get an emergency superintendent’s license in the meantime. The school board is also offering a $5,000 stipend to help with moving expenses.
Eastern Pulaski has been without a permanent superintendent since June, when Dan Foster resigned to return to his alma mater, Southeast Fountain in Veedersburg. Since then, Dr. Gib Crimmins with Administrator Assistance has served as interim superintendent, while Tom Austin, also with Administrator Assistance, has helped with the superintendent search.
