Knox High School is once again aiming to encourage students to continue their education, thanks to some state grant funding. The school is one of 13 recipients of the 2019 School and Community Partnership Grant, announced by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.
With that funding, school officials plan to give all juniors and seniors the chance to go on field trips to college campuses, college fairs, and local employers. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of students who enroll in college, vocational, or technical school.
The Indiana Commission for Higher Education gave out a total of $80,000 in this grant round, with each recipient getting up to $10,000.
