High winds could lead to downed trees and power lines Wednesday. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for the local area for Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening. Southwest winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are predicted.
The National Weather Service says that could result in power outages, as well as difficult travel for high-profile vehicles on north-south roads. Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery urges residents to secure any loose objects outdoors and never touch downed power lines.
