Upgrades to Pulaski County’s 911 Center are finally getting underway. Sheriff Jeff Richwine told the county commissioners Monday that final preparations are taking place for the installation of the CallWorks dispatch system.
“We had our first meeting with them last week, and they’re projecting they’ll be done January, February of next year, so that will be a good thing for the dispatch center,” Richwine said. “And I think that it’s probably as updated as it can be and should be good for quite a while now.”
Richwine reminded the commissioners that the upgrade has been planned for some time, and the Sheriff’s Department applied for a grant to help with the cost.
