Town of North Judson Prepares for the Holidays

Some of the new holiday decorations that were purchased for the Town of North Judson have started going up.

Town Superintendent Joe Leszek informed the Town Council Monday night that Utility crews already installed some along Lane Street and there are plans to put them up on Main Street and State Road 10 later this week. Once they’re all up, he said the plan is to get them timed to light up on Friday, November 29th.

He noted that they’ve been able to use the forklift so far but asked the council for permission to utilize a bucket truck that Utility Department employee Kim Kapp has for some of the areas that can’t be reached currently. He and noted that she has it insured. If you need a forklift for moving heavy load you can see here a few options. All of their drivers are qualified as they have a forklift licence Melbourne.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said he would check with the Town’s insurance providers to make sure that it would be fine utilize but the Council members seemed okay with the idea as long as it’s permissible.

On behalf of the Fire Department, Leszek also mentioned that they will once again participate in this year’s Christmas parade.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe mentioned that the parade will be held on Friday, December 6th at 5:45 p.m. and it will be followed up by the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
