The North Judson Town Council approved the 2020 Salary Ordinance when members met for their final meeting of the year on Monday.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe, the ordinance includes a three percent raise for all employees.
He explained who will benefit from the increase, “An increase for all salaries, whether they be bi-weekly, full-time employees, part-time or quarterly, board appointments, that kind of thing. Everything from our council members to our building commissioner, park caretakers, fireman, fire chief, it was a three percent increase.”
While Clerk-Treasurer Rowe was providing some specific examples, other town-associated positions that were not mentioned will also receive an increase since it was applied across the board. The ordinance was approved unanimously.
Following their meeting, Clerk-Treasurer Rowe swore in existing members Jane-Ellen Felchuck and James Young as well as new member Mathew Brewer.
Clerk-Treasurer Rowe was officially sworn in by Democratic Party Chair and former Knox Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston on Friday, December 27th.
