The North Judson-San Pierre School Board is expected to take action on a potential elementary school renovation project tonight. School officials had been considering moving the elementary school to the former middle school building.
But a feasibility study by architecture firm Fanning-Howey showed that the current elementary school is in good condition to make improvements, and many school officials have voiced support for that option. A project commitment will be discussed with board members tonight.
In other business, the school board will appoint a representative to the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library Board and accept donations. Board members will consider the transfer of money from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund, as well as a resolution authorizing the treasurer to pay claims and make transfers between now and the end of the year. A group of policy updates recommended by policy consultant NEOLA will be presented on first reading.
Tonight’s North Judson-San Pierre School Board meeting starts at 5:30 in the Central Office Board Meeting Room.
