Pulaski County Republicans will likely have an easy decision, when it comes to choosing the next coroner. As of Friday, Jon Maxwell Frain was the only candidate on file at the County Clerk’s Office. He currently serves as chief deputy coroner.
Coroner John Behny plans to retire as coroner at the end of the year, but he says he’ll still be available to help once the new coroner takes over. Republican precinct committee members are scheduled to officially select his replacement during a caucus this evening at 5:00 EST at the Pulaski County Public Library in Winamac.
