The North Judson Town Council renewed their contract with ONI Risk Partners for property and liability insurance when members met for their final meeting of 2019.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said that while the policy will remain the same, there was a slight increase to the cost.
He shared, “The various aspects of that, whether it’s property, general liability, auto/marine, umbrella, public officials, that kind of stuff, etcetera, the total percent change was a just a three percent increase so the cost last year was $51,429 and this year it’s $53,133.”
Rowe mentioned that the price going up likely had to do with a number of external factors including cost-of-living adjustments. However, he did note that compared to previous years, the increase was minimal. He stated that a lot of progress has been made in bringing down insurance costs for the Town.
