The Pulaski County Commissioners will reorganize for 2020 when they meet tonight. In addition to selecting the board’s president and vice president, they’ll also make several department appointments for the year.
Two representatives are expected to be appointed to the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission. New County Coroner Jon Frain will give a formal introduction, along with some updates.
Meanwhile, discussions about a potential courthouse renovation project will likely continue. Maintenance Director Mia Salyers is scheduled to give input on a single point of entry, one of the major features of the renovation plan. Last month, the commissioners agreed to continue exploring an option to renovate the courthouse but move Circuit Court to an expanded Justice Center.
