The Starke County Commissioners will reorganize for the New Year and make 2020 appointments when they meet tonight.
They are also expected to consider the 3rd reading of an environmental nuisance ordinance which was initially presented in November and approved on second reading last month. The ordinance regulates the accumulation of junk, debris and a number of other items such as standing or parked vehicles that are deemed a public nuisance.
A discussion over an amendment to the County’s burn ordinance will be held, an update over vote centers will be provided and officials will talk about courthouse security.
In addition to those items, monthly reports will be delivered by the EMS and Highway Departments and Sheriff Bill Dulin is expected to cover a wage policy and alarm ordinance when he addresses the commissioners.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in Starke County Annex Building #1.
