As many entities are doing this time of year, the Starke County Commissioners recently organized for 2020.
The Commissioners made no changes to their officers. Charlie Chesak will continue to serve as president while Kathy Norem will retain the Vice President spot and Byran Cavender will still be Secretary.
The officials also decided on who the ‘commissioner to contact’ will be for various county-related departments and facilities.
President Chesak is the point of contact for the Highway Department, EMS and the landfill while VP Kathy Norem will be the Courthouse and Annex point of contact and Secretary Bryan Cavender will be the contact for the jail .
By virtue of their office, the commissioners will also serve on the Building Code Review, Finance and Solid Waste Boards.
The Commissioners re-appointed Martin Lucas as the County Attorney also addressed multiple other appointments.
