Unemployment rates are unchanged in Starke and Pulaski counties. Starke County’s unemployment rate remained at four percent in December, according to the latest report from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
That’s half a percent lower than it was in December of 2018, but the estimated number of residents working actually dropped by more than 500 over that same period. Meanwhile, Pulaski County’s unemployment rate stayed at 3.2 percent last month, up from three percent the year before.
The state as a whole had a non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of three percent in December, while the national rate rose to 3.4 percent.
