Hamlet officials continue moving through the process of trying to get a new home built at Lincoln and Pearl streets. The town council wants to accept sealed bids and sell the property to someone who would build a home to the town’s specifications.
To start the process, the land has to be appraised. Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts says at this point, she’s gotten one appraisal but she’s still waiting on the second one. She hopes to have it in time for the town council’s next meeting on February 26.
