Two local school districts are keeping students home Friday because of illness. The Knox and Oregon-Davis school corporations have both made February 7 an eLearning day. Knox school officials cite student, bus driver, and staff illness. This marks the corporation’s fourth eLearning day in a week.
Similarly, Oregon-Davis Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says Friday’s eLearning Day is due to the high number of students and staff who have recently missed school due to the cold and flu. The goal is to give them the chance to get over their illness and give school officials the chance to thoroughly clean the buildings. Harman adds that the health and safety of students and staff is a top priority for O-D.
