A Knox man is dead, after the vehicle he was driving apparently went off the road and hit a tree Sunday afternoon. Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the Starke County Sheriff’s Office was called to County Road 200 North, about a quarter mile west of 1025 East.
When they got there, officers say they found a 2001 GMC Yukon that had hit a tree on the north side of the road. The driver, Ryan Sibo, 35, was taken to Starke Hospital and was pronounced dead.
Police say they don’t know what caused the vehicle to go off the roadway, and the crash remains under investigation.
