Pulaski Council Appoints BZA, PTBOA Members, Finalizes Additional Appropriation

The Pulaski County Council appointed representatives to a couple of boards Monday.

Jeremy Wentz was appointed to a full term on the Pulaski County Board of Zoning Appeals. Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer explained that he had joined the BZA as a midterm replacement for Pam Chumley. Meanwhile, Allen Cotner and Michael White were appointed to the property tax assessment board of appeals.

In other business Monday, the county council finalized a $5,500 additional appropriation for the Pulaski County Drug Free Council. That will allow the group to give away more grant funding for education, prevention, or treatment-related efforts, after its revenues from substance abuse fees came in higher than initially projected.
