A LaPorte man is accused of multiple counts of child molesting, following months of investigation. LaPorte City Police say an arrest warrant was issued on February 21 for Gerald Yaw.
He’s accused of three counts of child molesting as a Level 1 felony, along with two counts of child molesting; fondling or touching with a child under 14 years of age, as a Level 4 felony. Officers say detectives executed the arrest warrant at Yaw’s home without incident and took him to the LaPorte County Jail.
Police have been investigating the case since October 4. Officers say the investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact LaPorte City Police Detective Erin Jenkins.
