School board members from around the state recently got an update on this year’s legislative session. The Indiana School Boards Association held its second annual Statehouse Day last month.
ISBA Executive Director Terry Spradlin gave an update on this year’s session, as well as the association’s priority bills. The ISBA also hosted a panel discussion with Senate President Pro Tempore Rod Bray, House Education Committee members Ed DeLaney and Bob Behning, and Senate Education and Career Development Committee Member Eddie Melton. School board members had a chance to meet with their local state representatives and senators.
Among the local school board members in attendance was Oregon-Davis School Board President Annette Ferch, according to a press release from school officials.
