New school buses are coming to Knox and Oregon-Davis. The Knox School Board recently approved the purchase of two Blue Bird buses from MacAllister Transportation. They’ll end up costing just over $201,000, after the trade-in of three old buses.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart noted that the school corporation’s bus fleet has come a long way in the past three years. “The state police have commended us on upgrading our fleet from being one of the worst in the area to now being in the middle or one of the best,” Reichhart told school board members.
Meanwhile, the Oregon-Davis School Board has approved the purchase of a 78-passenger IC/Collins gas school bus at a total cost of just over $96,000. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says O-D did not purchase a bus last year.
