Oregon-Davis has announced its graduation plans. Graduation is now scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at 6:00 p.m. CDT at the O-D soccer field, with a rain date of July 2, according the Bobcat Blast newsletter.
Attendance will likely be limited to graduates’ immediate family, but school officials say it’s possible that more family members may be allowed, depending on the state’s recommendations. But the ceremony could be moved to a private site, if restrictions on the use of school facilities are extended.
High school seniors will be allowed to pick up any personal belongings that are still in the school building next Thursday. All other students will be able to pick up their things during a drive-in event on June 1, 2, and 3. They’ll also have to drop off any textbooks and library books at that time. Students returning to Oregon-Davis next school year will get to keep their iPads over the summer.
School officials say Corporation Nurse Tricia Huitt was involved in the planning process for both events, and the plans were approved by the Starke County Health Department. School Resource Officer John Kohles will be on duty at both events.
