Knox School Board Hires New Assistant High School Principal

Knox High School has a new assistant principal. R. Scott Frye was appointed to the position by the Knox School Board Tuesday, according to Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart.

“He is currently in the Indianapolis area,” Reichhart explains. “He was a K-8 principal, and then he also had experience at Tri-West High School last spring as a secondary administrator. And he brings a lot of great experience to our district. He’s very enthusiastic. The committee was very impressed with his research that he had done on the Knox school district.”

Reichhart says Frye plans on moving to Knox with his family, and his son will be entering sixth grade. Fry officially starts July 1. He takes over the assistant principal position from Glenn Barnes, who’s being promoted to principal.

In other personnel action Tuesday, the Knox School Board accepted the resignation of high school PE teacher and football coach John Hendryx. He was recently hired as football coach, PE teacher, and dean of students at Winamac.

The school board also accepted the resignations of cheer coaches Mollie Dollahan and Janelle Cripe and appointed Jana Hazelton and Sarah Richard to those positions.
