Mint Festival Committee to Hold ‘Keeping Mint Alive’ Decorating Contest

The North Judson Mint Festival may have been canceled for the year, but the festival committee plans on “Keeping Mint Alive” with a decorating contest. The best-decorated home and business with a North Judson address will get a $50 prize.

Festival organizers say the decorations could consist of painted windows or yard signs for daytime viewing, or it could be a nighttime light display. They should follow a Mint Festival theme to show how North Judson is “Keeping Mint Alive.” Mint Festival officers and directors will judge entries by their curb appeal as seen from vehicles in the street.

There’s no fee to enter, but participants must register by Saturday, June 13. Judging will be on June 18, and the winners will be announced on WKVI the following day.
