Traffic on U.S. 421 will now have to stop at the south intersection with State Road 14, near the West Central School campus. The Indiana Department of Transportation says it’s changed the intersection to a four-way stop.

Crews have installed stop signs on northbound and southbound U.S. 421, reflectors to separate turning traffic from through traffic, and updated pavement markings. The flashing light will now flash red in all directions. More re-striping is scheduled for Thursday.

The change comes after the intersection had seen a number of serious crashes.
