LaPorte County Police have released the name of the woman killed in a crash on U.S. 6 last Friday. Sheriff’s deputies believe Taren Abair, 29, of Grovertown, was killed when the Toyota RAV4 she was driving was involved in a head-on crash with a Ram pickup truck.
The pickup truck driver, identified as John Niego, 60, of Michigan City, was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital. The LaPorte County Fatal Accident & Crash Team continues to investigate.
