Knox School Board Accepts $3,100 for Delinquent Lunch Accounts, Keeps Meal Prices the Same

Knox students struggling to pay for lunch continue to get some help. The school board recently accepted a donation of more than $3,100 for delinquent lunch accounts from First National Bank of Monterey.

Meanwhile, the school corporation is also trying to make it easier for families to apply for free and reduced lunch. “We will hopefully be having online applications this year for free and reduced lunch,” said Corporation Treasurer Kasey Clark, “and hopefully, that will also help and give parents more access to that free or reduced option.”

The Knox School Board also agreed to keep breakfast and lunch prices the same for the 2020-2021 school year. Clark said the school corporation met the federal guidelines necessary to keep lunch prices where they are.
