Oregon-Davis students are not expected to pay more for lunch or book rental in the coming school year. The school board officially set the prices last month.
Education Consultant Jim Dermody explained that instructional fees will either stay the same or go down, after school officials decided to hold off on getting new books or digital materials for many classes. “From seventh grade on, I believe, it’s decreased,” Dermody said. “And you don’t find that very often, and that’s a result of that decision.”
Meanwhile, Food Service Director Jeff Messer said the requirement to raise lunch prices was waived, due to positive balances in the food services funds.
