The Pulaski County Commissioners have chosen a construction contractor for an upcoming bridge replacement. Last week, the commissioners chose JCI Bridge Group to replace the bridge on County Road 400 East over Mill Creek. JCI’s bid was the lowest of the four that the county received, at just over $561,000.
Jeff Larrison with United Consulting said the engineers determined that the bid meets all the specifications. He pointed out that JCI also handled the bridge replacement on 700 North a couple of years ago.
A preconstruction meeting was set for last week. Work is expected to start later this month.
Pulaski County got almost $400,000 in Community Crossings funding from the state to help with the cost.
