Eastern Pulaski School Board Changes Wednesday Schedule from Late Arrival to Early Release

Eastern Pulaski students will no longer get a late start to the school day on Wednesdays, but they will get out of class earlier. Superintendent Dara Chezem says the change was approved by the school board last month, following surveys to parents and staff.

“The majority of parents who responded, 76 percent of the parents, indicated that they would prefer an early release or they had no preference,” Chezem says, “and 77 percent of the teachers indicated that they would prefer an early release, as opposed to our late arrival Wednesdays.”

Students will be released 45 minutes early each Wednesday, going forward.
