Knox City Council to Hold Hearing on 2021 Budget Proposal Tonight

The Knox City Council will take public comments on the city’s proposed 2021 budget tonight. The total proposed budget is just over $3 million. It calls for a General Fund of almost $1.6 million, a Motor Vehicle Highway Fund of over $385,000, and $530,000 to be spent out of Economic Development Income Tax revenues.

In other business tonight, the Knox City Council will consider an ordinance related to the hours of operation for the city’s park facilities. Specifically, it would clarify how the $25 fine is be assessed for people found in the parks after hours.
