Knox School Board to Hear Comments on Superintendent’s Contract Tonight

The Knox School Board will take comments on a proposed superintendent’s contract tonight. Under the proposal, Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart would get an annual base salary of $111,500, plus benefits.

In other business, the school board will consider additional items for the third phase of the school corporation’s building project. Handbooks for administrative and classified staff will be up for the board’s approval, along with a memorandum of understanding for the school resource officer and a number of donations for the athletic department.

Tonight’s Knox School Board meeting starts at 6:30 in the Knox Schools Administrative Office, following a pre-bargaining public hearing on teacher compensation at 6:20. State law now requires that members of the public be given a chance to weigh in, before bargaining officially begins.
