Lane restrictions start tomorrow on U.S. 30 in Porter County and U.S. 20 in LaPorte County. INDOT says U.S. 30 will down to one lane in each direction east of Valparaiso, between Porter County Roads 400 and 450 East for “an underground infrastructure rebuild project.” That’s expected to last through this Friday, but shoulder closures may continue through October 16.
In LaPorte County, milling, patching, and resurfacing work will be taking place on U.S. 20 east of the State Road 2 interchange. The highway will be down to one lane with flaggers directing traffic where the work is taking place. That project’s expected to wrap up in mid-October.
INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time while traveling through those work zones.
